ANZAC Letter

Gallipoli
The  Trenches
25 April 1915

Dear Mum, Dad, Lola and Mabel,

I think you'll be happy to know that I'm alive and I miss you so much.

It's sad to see my friends get gruesomely shot in the head or heart. It's a really grim place here. I'd rather be at home.

I can hear titanium bullets being spat into the thick, squelchy mud. The enormous explosions create minor earthquakes. The
ear-splitting gunshots put my courageous friends into the rat infested hospital.

I'm in absolute despair. I really don't think I'm going to make it home.

Tell Lola I miss her, tell Mabel I love her.

Yours sincerely Max

ANZAC

Blood and death were in the war, They didn't know what they were in for. They died in the hands of the enemy. They fought so we could be free. Lest We Forget
